I had a great day Saturday. After working really hard on the newest Sulky seminar, I finally presented it for the first time. It's always a little nerveracking the first time around. No matter how prepared I am, it's just really hard to assess my timing until I'm up in front of a group actually doing it. But it all came together so well. This seminar is based on Sulky's newest book called Supplement to Sulky's Successful Guide to Stabilizing. It takes a look at using stabilizers in really creative ways. In other words, thinking outside of the box. I explore painting stabilizers and incorporating them as art into my creations, felting, printing photos onto fabric and then cutting apart the photos to create impressive woven masterpieces, to name only a few. This event was held at Sew Creative here in Lincoln and we had 67 in attendance. Considering there was a snow storm the night before, this was a great turnout. If you see this seminar offered in your area, I highly recommend it!
